Charlene has a gift of supporting others in a superior way. Besides being attracted to her beautiful table settings, I noticed that she always has something encouraging to say to others about their tables. She puts love into her tables and comments as well. Delight with me in honoring her this month!

CHARLENE PIGOTT

I was raised in the South very near Destin Florida by my paternal grandma "Sadie" (I am also named after her "Sadie Charlene").  When I was born, grandma purchased my first set of china with S&H Green Stamps.  Grandma loved beautiful dishes, home decor, and fashion (she made many of my clothes).  Every meal at home was served on a properly set table.  When the weather was beautiful she would set a table on the back porch, complete with flowers.  These memories have made a lasting impression.  Grandma wanted me to be a proper young lady and even enrolled me in White Gloves and Party Manners courses.

When I married and had children, I wanted my home to be as special as the home that my grandma provided for me.  I was young and didn't have funds for fine living so I tapped into my creative side.  I sewed Halloween and school costumes for the girls and made all of their Birthday cakes.  I raised three beautiful daughters, they are all grown and have given me eight grandchildren (six boys and twin girls).  I have tried to pass along "fine living" experiences to them all.

My husband and I live in a small home built in 1936, so we have always enjoyed collecting vintage and antique items for our home.  In 2020 I discovered a wonderful tablescaping group and it brought me much joy.  Antiquing and thrifting became a fun way for my husband and I to spend weekends together.  This hobby feeds my creative energy, reminds me of times spent with my sweet grandma, and has introduced me to many wonderful friends.
