What makes a Table exceptional?

Elegance comes from "less is more."  A table  that is set to welcome guests and create a feeling of comfort is elegant.  Elegance is more important than placing every wonderful thing on a table which could overwhelm.

The table that  knows its guests is a wonderful table.  A well set table has favorite colors, brings forth memories, and creates discussion.

Colors combined with texture and material  create a perfect  landscape.  A Bordello cabbage green with blue.  An all black, all white, or single color table with contrasting textures will each bring depth and personality to  any occasion.

A table is  only as fabulous as the people who are gathered around it.  Again, "less is more," and  a table that allows guests to see and converse with each other without having to bend around a center piece has achieved its purpose.

A great table starts with what we all already have: an idea, a vision, or a single surprising element that guides. The unexpected invites curiosity and is often what makes the table unforgettable.

A beautiful table can make dry cereal taste better.  Similarly, the table should seek to compliment and enhance the menu whenever possible.
