Her tables stand out and are in a category all their own, displaying her fabulous collection of china and beautiful accessories. I love that she writes about the origin of her treasures. DeeDee’s linens are priceless and show hours of artistic handiwork. You could say I pedestal her, recognizing outstanding talent and care for antiquity. My name is Dee Dee Ellison and I am a writer, designer and china enthusiast and collector. I have been collecting china and designing tables for the past thirty years.
My love of china and beautiful things began with my mother and grandmothers who were also collectors. My mother especially fostered the love of exquisite things. She taught my sister and I how to dress a table when we were very young. While she was quite traditional, I love the mix of different china patterns and crystal to create eclectic tables with an emphasis on antique china and silver. I also adore antique linens especially tablecloths.
I love designing tables not just for the beautiful things but for the emotional experience of sharing, family, stories and fellowship.
