Mary Attwell

I was born in Florina, Greece and immigrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, age 3 years old, with my parents. At an early age I was taught to work hard and succeed and built good ethics. I am a Mother of two adult boy’s and a beautiful granddaughter, Ava Rowe.

I have been living in Stouffville, Ontario, Canada for the past 25 years with my loving husband, Robert and our furbaby, Porsha, a beautiful Malshi. My husband and I make a great creative team, as I have always said, “if I can dream it, he can build it”. I have always loved gardening, decorating, antiquing, party planning and of course Tablescaping. When antiquing, thrifting or shopping, my motto is “if I LOVE it and it SPEAKS to me, and I AFFORD it, I BUY it.”

I took early Retirement from IBM Marketing and Events Management after a successful 30 year career. In retirement, following my life long passion for decorating and making my home beautiful, I started a small business, “Staged for Sale”, which specialized in Home Staging, Colour Consultation and Seasonal Decorating and it has been gratifying to see my homes and gardens featured in local magazines over the years.

A few years ago, I came across some inspirational Tablescaping Facebook groups and joined. Since then I have been motivated to create more Tablescapes and collect new tableware. This has helped me expand my comfort zone in mixing colour texture and patterns, especially with the encouragement and support of the members. I have made new friendships with like minded fellow Tablescapers from all over the world. I have found the shared passion, generosity and exchange of new ideas, by this community, very rewarding and it gives me joy and happiness. I especially cherish the new friendships I’ve made including with my dear friend Margaret.I
